Will Marriott match my status at another Hotel chain?
peytonsdad05 I think matches exist with Starwood only . You might look at Status Challenges. There are other entries on this subject you can search
I do not know if there is a policy, but typically if you ask and can show how many nights you stay at a hotel, one company would be more than happy to steal a customer from another. I know airlines will do it.
you might want to check out the website Marriott Hotels and Resorts Status Match | StatusMatcher
That is a terrific find rlswider once again highlighting Marriott is consistently inconsistent (which, as I've written before, is fine by me - just know it going in and know how to play the game).
A couple of times this year alone CMs have been directed by the infamous Appropriate Team that, no Marriott does not do Status Matches (especially Hilton );
HHonors converting to Marriott

The email you received this morning was correct in that Marriott does not status match from other programs (aside from SPG after the merger). If you send me a private message with your Rewards number, I can have our team check your account for eligibility of enrollment in a Gold challenge. Please note that members can only receive one status challenge offer within a 12 month period, so it may be beneficial to assess your travel plans for the year to see if you're able to reach Gold (50 nights) on your own and then aim for a Platinum challenge, since it is a higher status and status challenges can only be offered for one level higher than your current status.
Thanks for inquiring, look forward to hearing from you!

As we like to say at Insiders, "Want an opinion?" like voting in Cook County, call reps early and often, you just might surprise yourself with a favorable outcome. Good job RLS
