This is exciting! Last weeks trip did push me over the first lifetime level:
I am surprised that silver LT reqs are that high, You are over half way to LTP. (750 nights and 2M points).
That makes me feel even better! Over half way there.
Hey msannmcd, Congratulations!!! Wonderful news.
Thanks for letting us all know.
Enjoy this special day!
Awesome. Well, maybe that's a bit over the top since Lifetime Silver is almost a meaningless stop on the way to LTG and LTP. Still you've got to pass this milestone to reach the next one, so congratulations on getting here.
As you likely recall, I just reached LTS a couple months back.
Next stop, 500 lifetime nights and 1,600,000 lifetime points. Do you think it will be harder to amass he 91 nights or 369,311 points you need to reach LTG?
bejacob - That depends. Will the megabonuses run smoothly???? Sorry, I just couldn't resist, LOL. seriously, though, for me I am sure it would be harder to get the points than the nights. Part of that is that a portion of my nights tend to be at Residence and TownePlace (the only game in town), which certainly helps nights, but not so much points......
Good observation bejacob and good question. I think I can do the nights in 18 months. Not sure how to amass the points beyond what I am doing now with the Chase card. But I think setting a goal of 18 months is reasonable!
Congrats! I achieved LTS earlier this year and am at 1415 nights and 1.4 million points. Look forward to seeing you in LTG soon!
albumen2001 You need to learn to maximize your points. Have you been enrolling in the promotions ? Those can be a nice way to add points. Your night totals are almost double what is required for LTP. . You may want to consider the Marriott CC.
I have to agree with nipper . I've only been a MR member for a little under 2 years, and am sitting at 160 nights and 450K points. And yes, I have the Marriott CC, take advantage of every megabonus, and even started becoming a twitterholic, lol.
I hear you mightythor as I've been snagging 1000 points each Sunday thanks to the NFL (except last weekend when the Patriots weren't playing).
Thanks albumen2001 as it did take me 4 years to learn the credit card trick! DUH! Better late than never. Who knows how many points I left on the table.
I enroll in all the promotions and have a Marriott CC. The majority of my nights were at a low negotiated rate and in Canadian dollars. The CC only gave Canadians 30,000 points to sign up as opposed to the 80,000 Americans get.
Them Yanks don't give anything to foreigners!
Congratulations! Keep on tripping.
Congrats!! Keep an eye on the different MegaBonus offers throughout the year. More points will get you to LTP faster.
Fantastic! Congratulations, msannmcd! 1.2 million points is a big hurdle. Fortunately once you've cleared that, the points become easier.
You can achieve whatever goal you set for yourself!
Congratulations msannmcd on the Lifetime Silver milestone achievement! Best wishes for continued points accumulating success!
