So my last stay didn't get me there... 66 points off.
Fortunately my next stay is in a few weeks
Way to go! Take advantage of the new Marriott More shopping program (Introducing Marriott Rewards MORE™. ) or the Twitter Posts for Points (Get ready. More #RewardsPoints ahead. ) to get you there faster!
Concur. Retweet during the NFL games and you'll see 1000 points near-instantly post.
communitymanagers after praising this and retweeting last night myself, no points were given ;(
Did you tweet or REtweet? I don't think a re will work as you have to tweet them the answer.
Apologies, I replied. Worked the last two Sundays.
I got a confirmation and then checked my acct. I missed out last week but the two weeks before, it took FOREVER and there was no confirmation, I just looked at my acct and they were posted as Reply Rewards.
After checking Twitter just now, you are not the only one. Some people are saying they didn't get them. Check your acct to make sure and then go on twitter asking why you didn't get them.
Many thanks for the info. Not overly concerned -- just have to manage my OCD
Hopefully you can get 600k points somehow before the Marriwood/Starriott rewards programs merge for LTG, but 200k first! Keep plugging away at it!
oh shoot now youve got me worried.. Is it forecasted negatively once the merger goes live?
No - we don't know, but I think the general thought is that in some way/shape/form, the rewards program will change, and most likely the 'lifetime' part of it will change. My belief is that they will add a new tier above Platinum, and alter the 'lifetime' part in some way. What I believe is that they will put some type of 'years' criteria back on it - either 10 years at the "X" Elite Level, or 10 years as an elite, with at least one (or at least 1/2) at the lifetime level you are attempting to achieve. That's why many folks are trying to achieve their next LT level if they aren't Platinum before the program changes. In either Marriwood/Starriott, you are currently dealing in known criteria, so if you can get close (or actually achieve it), push to be grandfathered in....
...we just don't know what we will be grandfathered in to - you will have lifetime status, but it may not mean the same thing in the future - it could map to the same, or new benefits (and technically could map to less benefits, but I don't think Marriwood would really try to throw more rocks in the river - they already have enough on their hands!). I thought I read somewhere you'd keep the same lifetime achieved benefits, but I cannot find that.
If a 'years' criteria is thrown back onto achieving status, people that project they'd cross a LT threshold in 2019 or 2020, relatively close, would be screwed if they then had to be a member for say another 4, 5+ years, thus the expedited frantic points & nights madness to pad Marriott's revenue!
I thought my last stay might get me to Lifetime Silver, but ...
Hopefully, I'll get tomorrow night's NFL question right.
Oh god haha - thats closer than mine. Both crazy razor thin margins though
Good Deal! I go over 2 million Lifetime this week and will end year at 650 lifetime nights. Need to get serious in 2018 to get to 100 nights!!!!!
