Fantastic Customer Service - Embodies the spirit of the Marriott Brand - Marilyn (Stroudsburg, PA)

Hi there! On a recent worktrip to Stroudsburg, PA, a place known for ski resorts and casinos, standard hotels are very hard to find. I was sure glad when I saw that a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott opened in 2016. I stayed at the hotel for three weeks and was pleasantly greeted by the front desk host every morning, a sweet woman named Marilyn (forgive me, I did not take account of her last name).

On one rather embarrassing occasion, where I ran out of dress-shirts for work on a Friday evening, I engaged the hotel to perform dry cleaning services for me - (this activity is sub-contracted out with a local company). Anyway, Marilyn offered to drop off my dry cleaning on her way home from work Friday night and I thought to myself, all is well and good. The next morning when I saw Marilyn she mentioned that the dry cleaning store had closed by the time she drove to the store and she had dropped it off Saturday morning on her ride to work. I was a little disappointed but I realized some-things are out of our control; anyway, she promised that she would have it ready by the time I was back from work Monday evening. She demonstrated a willingness to serve, maintained professionalism and cheerfulness throughout the whole process. She truly went above and beyond the call of her normal duty to run the clothes of a stranger, whom she only knew by first name basis, to ensure that I was satisfied. All the while - she did it with such a wonderful smile on her face! I truly am proud to have met Marilyn and thank her for loyalty, service, consideration, and the kindness that she showed me.
If anyone stays at this particular hotel and has a chance to run into Marilyn in the mornings, drop by and say hello; trust me, she will brighten up your day! Wonderful lady, wonderful heart; I wholeheartedly recommend her for the Marriott Spirit of Service Award.
