Traveling in Europe

Hello everyone,

We are 47 days away from our Europe trip and I'm both nervous ans exciting at the same time.  It's been 10 years since I've been to Europe and not with my children.  I'm asking advice on a couple of things:

1. Passport - do you just store your passports in the hotel safe?  In the past, I have just photocpied my passport and carrier it around while keeping my passport in the safe.  I don't know if that's still a good practice or if I should carry it with me everywhere I go?

2. Travel converters/adaptors - What kind of adaptors/converters do you recommend?  I was electronics-free when I was in Europe traveling around.  Now, I need charging cables for phones/iPads/cameras.

3. Photo storage - what's your photo storage solution?  We are looking to take lots of photos and I thought about a photo sharing app like Dropbox or Google.

4. What do you use to communicate with each other while abroad?  I have T-mobile and I heard that we can use the data only portion of our account, so I'm researching that.  I've also heard that I can use in conjunction with WhatsApp.  Any other recommendations?

Thank you!!!
