Where are you, non-Bob? .................................JW Marriott Miami

And what's the lounge like?  Standard Marriott décor but needs updating.  Quite small for this property, but perfectly serviceable.

How's the evening food? I got in too late to experience evening snacks or dessert.

Any free alcohol? No.

Whats the hours? Breakfast and evening appetizers and dessert during the week

And are they being meanies and closing the lounge at weekends? Yes

How about Plat breakfast? Normal Marriott fare.  Real eggs instead of the powdered Marriott eggs.  Only one coffee maker and no carafes of self-serve coffee.  The attendants were manning the espresso machine and making coffee, and it took a long time, and there was quite a backup.  Food was nothing special but fine for my purposes.

Upgrades? Standard room but they claimed it was an upgrade, maybe because it faced the pool and bay.

Additional. Hotel needs updating but at least rooms have been painted and the soft goods seem to have been refurbished.  The entire property needs an overhaul as it's got some of that 90's style gold fixtures and that sort of thing.  It's not very Florida-ish - kind of dark and traditional feel to the property.  Not bad though.  Just needs to be updated.  It was VERY expensive when I stayed (during the week in March 2017) and my room was $411, plus $50 for parking.  OUCH!  The Four Season down the street is much newer and a lot nicer, but that was going for over $700 a night so it was priced accordingly.  There is another JW in downtown Miami as well as a Courtyard and Marriott.  But I would stay at this one again.  The location is good for the meeting I was attending, so that was a plus.

SO... I'm sat in the Exec lounge at JW Marriott Miami, and it's good (3/5)
