I am curious as to any real or perceived "blow-back" that Marriott has/could experience with the recently documented (and at times over reported) issues with customer service at United.  Marriott has a reputation (IMHO) of excellent service and taking responsibility/action when a customer is disappointed and/or Marriott standards have not been met. Clearly Marriott is not responsible for the questionable (being generous with that word) service at United, but wonder if Marriott is looking to take any action or just mind their own business and focus on satisfying their customers as they have for many many years.

I welcome people's thoughts on this topic; if someone has already taken on this topic I apologize for the duplication.
