VacationGuard Travel Insurance

Question asked by gcatalina on Mar 6, 2017

I understand VacationGuard Travel Insurance can be purchased to cover all of your vacation club weeks and destination points associated with a specific year, for example 2017. This applies, even if you bank 2017 points and use them in 2018. The insurance covers everything that was booked, originating from 2017. The more weeks and points you have, it seems the more important it might be to protect your vacationing with insurance.

For example, I can get a best deal pre-paying for my rental car. If I had to cancel due to an emergency or illness, would that be covered?

Has anyone had experience actually using the insurance? How easy was it to use? What kinds of things did it cover? Did it seem like there were any gotchas?
