We are planning a trip to nova scotia in the month of August for a week.
Can some one please suggest some good places to visit and stay. We are planning to drive from Connecticut.
Peggy's cove would be number 1

Prince Edward Island & Nova Scotia - Canada
Thanks for the reply - after seeing the pics I would definitely want to visit Prince Edward Island.
I only have 1 week and since I am driving from Connecticut (atleast 11 hours to get to PEI) - I do not want to spend all the time in the car itself.
My plan is:
1. 3 days in PEI
2. 4 days in Halifax.
I saw the images of cobalt trail and its amazing - would you suggest dropping either PEI or halifax in favor of Cape Breton island?? I do not want to do all three as it would be very tiring.
Cape Breton is a long drive. Peggy Cove is near Halifax. I personally would not miss Prince Edward island. Another stop between Halifax and PEi is Lunenburg which was an historic French fortress.
Ok thanks for the tips. Also can you tell me where to stay in PEI?? The delta hotel looks great but very expensive for my dates and point redemptions are not available - would have been great though as its only a cat - 5.
The great george seems old but looks nice and is much cheaper.
While Cape Briton is beautiful - especially the coastal drive - if your time is limited, I'd choose PEI (staying in Charlottetown at any number of hotels available on web), and then Marriott in downtown Halifax. From there you can drive to Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, etc.
You can walk down to the warf from the Marriott, and take time to visit the citadel on hill, where I took photo of my grandson on wall overlooking Halifax.
