I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere. Thanks in advance.
Yes. Last year, I had a one night stay on the very last day of the a MegaBonus. It counted..
Re: Question about a stay for Megabobus [sic]. My 25th night of the 2016 Spring MegaBonus was a one night stay, checking in on 5/15/2016 and checking out on 5/16/2016 (the promotion ended on 5/15).
Cool. Hopefully, no changes have slipped under the radar. Thanks!
Sure hope you're correct if I have a stay on April 15th.
I have an extension of this question. I'm saving my last double points night for an extended stay (14 nights) in mid-March. This doesn't leave much time for the remainder of the points. I do have a five night stay starting on April 15 in New Orleans. Will the first night (the 15th) count even though the checkout is the 20th? This will be my 10th night after double points stays and therefore activates 15,000 points. Not sure I can squeeze in another night if it doesn't count. Thanks for any insights.
I Believe it will be each date that is 15th will count toward mega other nights will not
Thanks, jerryl. I'm just hoping for the one night for the first 15,000 points. I decided that doubling the long stay in March was better than the last 15,000 on the 1500 per night part but I hope you're right on the 15th itself. The T&C don't really speak to this but I guess they can't cover all of our weird situations!
jerryl, now if your "stay" begins on April 15th then my guess is that it would NOT count for the MegaBonus as it would only be one night which not sure would qualify as a "stay".
If your first night was April 14th with the 15th being the second would that not qualify then as a "stay" and then it should count toward the MegaBonus?
I Always viewed the check in date is the date that gets credit so if you check in April 15 that is the credit date not the check out date
I don't know for sure on a stay of more than one night, but a 1-night stay that begins on 4/15 and ends of 4/16 would count based on my experience last spring. My best guess on a multi-night stay that begins on 4/15, is that the one night would count toward the promotion. If this happens to be the 10th night (after already completing the 3-stay portion) I would expect to earn the 15k points. If a multi-night stay begins on 4/15 and is part of the "double points for the first three stays" I would anticipate double points for only the first night of the stay.
Don't forget that a "stay" is defined as "one or more consecutive nights at the same property regardless of check-in, check-out activity."
bejacob in the T/C for the promo it defines as "stay" as:
A 'stay' is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity.
So not sure the "one or more" applies as just one night would not be consecutive? Is it far to early in the morning for me to be ciphering or what?
It always has for me. Most of the time, my stays are for one night. They've always counted. For a change, my first couple stays are each for 2-nights, so I can't speak to this promotion yet. My 3rd stay will be a 1-nighter, but that's still a few weeks away. I'm sure someone else can confirm long before then.
I'm not going to try and see if a one night visit counts as I'm trying for all the two or more nights. Although we do have a one night stay at the Hotels in Houston, Texas | Marriott Marquis Houston Downtown to check it out later this month so I'll know soon if that does in fact count.
I stayed in Asheville last week for one night at the Renaissance and it counted. Hated it wasn't a longer stay given the "Double Points" promotion....
Good stuff etwhite, thank you.
