The point status is new and confusing to me. I have a Marriott Chase CC and thought it allowed me "Silver Elite" status. My account shows I need 2 more nights (account deleted "nights" from 2016) to RENEW "Silver Elite". (1) Is the credit card simply a "silver" status and not "silver elite"? and (2) How, or where, do I verify that I earned 15 nights or points or credits (again, I'm confused how to differentiate between nights, points, etc) when I had my anniversary year? Thank you so much for any information!
Silver and Silver Elite are the same thing. You'll earn 15 nights credit toward your status on the anniversary of when you got your CC. What you are seeing now is your current progress. The nights from the CC will post guaranteeing your Silver status.
The credit card nights will show up as"Bonus Nights" listed as "Rewards Credit Card." Once they post, you'll see that your Silver Elite status has been renewed for 2018 and you will then see the number of nights needed to reach Gold.
