Amman Marriott...wonderful start to our Jordan Adventure

We arrived at the Amman Marriott after having been on the road/in the air for 27 hours.  There was a slight hiccup in our plan since the MR member wasn't present due to last minute work commitment, so this stay was for the wife and daughter to start this journey and the husband would join as soon as things settled down and he was free to leave.  So walking in at 3am tired, dusty I hoped that there would be no issues and boy was I impressed with not only the wonderful checking in process, being upgraded to the CL level and having a larger room.  I was informed that my husband had written a note to the manager and they were more than happy to extend his privileges to me and our daughter.  We were escorted up to our room and shown where everything was and wished a good night.  The lounge in this hotel although small was managed very well by 2 young ladies who went out of their way each time we came in to make sure we wanted for nothing. The choice for breakfast was either in the lounge or in the restaurant off the lobby.  The lounge was very quiet during breakfast with the explanation that people liked the choices that the extended menu offered in the restaurant, we loved the choices in the lounge which included a number of Middle Eastern as well as American dishes.

Mr. Mazen Abdelhadi, the assistant manager went out of his way to make us comfortable and ensure we always felt safe.  His reservations at IL Terrazzo Restaurant, showed us what true Jordanian hospitality is all about.

There was an evening happy hour in the CL and at that time it was alcohol seems to could literally skip dinner with all the yummy food that was available.

This hotel is not in the heart of the city but we found that the location for us was perfect. Security to enter both the parking lot and through the lobby of the hotel, it was like boarding a flight at the airport.

Other than eating at the restaurant we did not use any of the facilities, pool, exercise room, spa etc. so can't speak to them, but the pool was busy during the day when we were passing through.

We were only here for 3 nights but enjoyed this short stay and a big thank you to Mr. Mazen and company for all his help.
