While looking at hotel reviews, I noticed one of the categories listed is a Platinum Five Star. I have never heard of Platinum Five Star. Do you know what this Marriott Rewards Level is?
I found this thread from last year that might help:
Platinum Five Star
It basically says this:
"Plat 5 star status is only for a very, very few people out there. It is basically someone who either lives at a high end Marriott property, a person on the Board of Directors of Marriott or some other influential person (like Mitt Romney). It appears the designation is given by Mr. Marriott personally."
"our team confirmed that the Platinum Five Star is not a status members can earn. It is a VIP status."
2queenbeds I either missed this thread or forgot about it. Thanks for the explanation.
I have little doubt it has much more value than Platinum Premiere.
I think it means you get free breakfast at Courtyards.
Actually, I have never heard of it until now. So that means I aint it!
Hi Insiders, here to shed some light, Platinum Five Star is for Marriott's Board of Directors.
Thanks, carat, I now feel more secure with my Premier!
