Password for Marriott and MVCI are NOT case sensitive....WHY?

This seems to be a security issue. 

I never realized it but I can login with the correct digits and letters but the letters are not case sensitive. This is true for the new (maybe old) MVCI website login as well.

 

I would have CHAT-ed but there is no button to select to chat.....even though the webpage

www.marriott.com/help/technical-faqs.mi says.....
