My husband and I are going to Vegas at the end of February. We have gone to Vegas in the past, but wanted to get some ideas from other insiders. What are some of your favorite things to do, restaurants, and bars to check out? Thanks
Dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Hotel. Expensive but worth it for the priceless memories we created. We had them take a family picture after dark when all the lights came on. It turned out beautiful and is still a favorite picture - 6 years after the fact. Our family - my sisters, our husbands, and our parents - celebrated our mom's 70th birthday there. I hated Vegas but I loved that meal and those memories.
exercise by walking up and down the entire strip !
Edit: I meant to reply to original post - Sorry!
There are just so many fun things to do and see!
I enjoy Rhumbar - all kinds of rum! They have plenty of shaded seating and misters. I like to go early (3:00pm) before the crowd gets there. It's nice and relaxing. People watching is fun. I don't smoke but they have a good selection of cigars.
Of course there is also the Bellagio Fountains. That is enjoyable and free.
For sushi and Asian food lovers, Tao in the Venetian (the restaurant) is wonderful MAKE RESERVATIONS. The night club is great if you like EDM.
Best Asian Restaurant in Las Vegas | TAO
If you like Brazilian style steakhouses, Samba is AMAZING! It's in the Mirage.
Samba Steakhouse - I have been to a few places like this, but Samba was the BEST one I have tried.
I also highly recommend the Titanic Exhibit. It is at the Luxor - The iceburge is so cool (litterly)! We took a taxi there as it is at the far end of the strip.
There is so much to do in Vegas, it can be overwhelming! There really is something for everyone.
two shows Jersey Boys and Motown review are both very good
Just a fun little thing, but I found the Mob Museum fun. It is downtown in the old courthouse. I also found the museum based on nuclear tests ( cant remember what it was called) to be a facinating place. I usually go to Vegas every couple of years to make my deposit, but I also enjoy the stuff outside Vegas, Last fall we rented a car and went to the Dam, I picked up a 10 dollar Barbeque at Walmart and grilled some Chicken and some Veg in one of their many parks down on the Arizona border. I stay at the Ren which is over by the convention centre. I really like the strip stuff but also really like to be away from it. Not far but far enough away.
So many restaurants and shows to choose from. From a recent visit
Went to Giada's for lunch since we couldn't get a reservation for dinner. Great food, nice second floor view from the Cromwell, with windows that open fully to to outside.
Buddy V's for good homestyle Italian and Carlos Bakery, in the Palazzo.
Yardbird Southern Table in the Venetian.
Nine Fine Irishmen in NYNY, nice pub atmosphere but its not Dublin.
Wander the Forum Shops, watch the animated statues, have a meal at Trevi and watch the sky go from night to day.
Saw Elton John at Caesar's Colleseum, wonderful show.
Boys II Men at the Mirage, 1990s R&B
Any Cirque show.
National Atomic Test Museum, you won't find anywhere else. Shaped a lot of southern NV history.
You should visit "Old Las Vegas" which I believe is called the Fremont Street Experience. It's a lot of fun checking out the old casinos like the Golden Nugget and Binions. Great place for strolling down the closed off street people watching and checking out the many street shows along the way.
