I stayed at the Walnut Creek Marriott last week. This hotel has impeccable service and a staff that I look forward to seeing when I walk into the lobby. . Last week I had several requests during my 4 day stay. (When I want/need something I want it NOW!)  My requests were handled with speed and efficiency. I have noticed that whenever I ask them to do something, they assume I was so inconvenienced that they go the extra mile and then some to make me feel as if I am the most important guest in their hotel.
