We recently used our Category 1-5 certificate at The Algonquin Resort St. Andrews by the Sea, Autograph Collection in New Brunswick, Canada.  The desk agent greeted us warmly and welcomed us as a platinum member.  I had used mobile check-in so our room assignment and keys were immediately available.  She mentioned that we had been upgraded, but I was amazed when we got to our room, opened the door, and got a glimpse of our 1 bedroom executive king suite.  It was a tie with an upgrade we had received when using points at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in Hawaii.  To see pictures of our room, go to the hotel's website and look at the photo section.  Parking is complimentary.  They have an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and a beach area.  It is only a few blocks from the quaint town of St. Andrews by the Sea; however, it is an uphill walk back to the hotel. Since it is a resort, breakfast was not included and there is not a concierge lounge; however, it was indeed the best use of a category 5 certificate.  You won't be sorry if you use your certificate there.
