Son Antem Resort & Hotel Mallorca Review

Discussion created by redwood on Jul 16, 2009

Have just spent a week at this resort both in timeshare villa 3 nights and also 4 hotel nights.

The resort itself is in good condition with 2 golf courses, tennis, spa and pools, all well maintained and well staffed (although the East course is a a bit scruffy on some holes). The timeshare villas are well appointed and good for families, of which there were many.

The hotel styles itself as 5 star but I would say its 4 at best.  There is no concierge lounge, nor do they provide vouchers for platinum breakfast.  The restaurants on site are overpriced (e.g. 16 Euro for continental breakfast buffet and 30 Euro+ for dinner buffets).  There is no business internet access but there are coin operated (!) PCs as well as wireless access for 20 Euro per day.

There are plenty of good, friendly and well informed staff.

Overriding impression is of the hotel not being as good as it should be - food options in particular.  It really needs to add a CL. The resort is a bit isolated from Palma - you do need a hire car if you intend to do anything offsite.

Best used if you take a villa from the timeshre bit rather than hotel room.
