      Hi

Would anyone out there be able to recommend where to go for night life, reasonable price would be nice, maybe with music.  We will be there for a week in May.

      Outcomes

          Portia,

The very first cocktail I would have would be at The Ritz, Place Vendome, in Hemmingways.  This historic place can be a challenge, but just go into the Hotel and go way to the back, follow the signs!  It is a moving experience and very relaxing place to have a refreshment you will never forget.

They do not allow camera's but remind yourself of the famous that have been there and the last place Princes Di was at before the tragedy. From there, as the bartender, and follow the yellow brick road.

For a romantic, music filled evening, relax one night at Monmartre.

Just be careful of the panhandlers on the outskirts on the area.  Just take a taxi directly to Sacre Coeur and you can avoid problems.  You have a great array of medium priced places and music galore!

Our favorite is the tiny, Le Poulbot, (See picture), a three course meal that is great is around 11 Euro's!.  There are all kind of sidewalk cafe's that are great as well!

            Enjoy!

Parisians know their city by numbered neighborhood districts called, 'ar-ron-dise-ments'.  My personal favorites include the cafes along the Boulevard Montparnasse in the Sixth Arrondisement, and the nightclubs located along the winding streets of St. Germaine des Pres and Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter) in the Left Bank.
