My wife and I will be traveling to Europe for a quick 10-day vacation in August. All we know for certain at this point is we fly into and out of Amsterdam. Nothing else is carved in stone but tentatively we are planning all travel in Europe by train. We are looking at Amsterdam to Bern, Switzerland, Bern to London and back to Amsterdam. This would give us at least one full free day to sightsee in each of those 3 cities. Our flight and hotels will be covered by rewards points so we plan to splurge on first class train travel. Any hints or suggestions to help us plan? I haven't been on a train in Europe since the 70s when I was in Germany with the Air Force.
