The suit alleges that timeshare owners suffered "loss of value" to their timeshares when Marriott switched in 2010 from a week-based trade program to a points-based program.
No company is safe from class action attorneys whether or not the case is valid. As a MVCI owner I believe this one does not.
Agreed just thought I would share and see how others feel about the weeks vs. Points topic.
I can verify that weeks-owners did lose value. The destination points we were offered to convert were not enough to buy a week at our home resort, and we would have had to pay several hundred dollars to convert. It was a way for MVCI to move a chunk of revenues forward, certainly helping cash flow. Owners lost value.
