Disappointment Loyalty Does not Matter- Expiring Rewards with no goodwill extension of reward nights

Its a huge disappointment that Loyalty matters so little to Marriott. Been a loyal customer for many years to the extent have never stayed outside of Marriott except for international. Called customer service 3 times and including supervisor standard answer given was "we are sorry ... and we cannot" despite getting down to pleading (hated it). In today's atmosphere of choices doing a small gesture of goodwill goes a long way; someone in the Marriott exec team needs to come out their ivory towers and create customer friendly policies. Matter was so trivial - rewards nights expiring. Would rather lose my business than extend 1 night, perplexing! The Hotels and hotel staff have been great, but the rewards team leave a lot to be desired. Disappointing experience
