Having reached Lifetime Platinum many years ago (once I hit 1000 nights)..................just wondered if Marriott has anything "special" (besides a Rubber Room), for those reaching 2000 nights?
Do not know of any, but I am close. I know there are MRI who have well more than 2000 nights, but I, again, have heard of no "Special Treatment" at that milestone.
I think you get an extra chocolate at those hotels that actually offer them a turndown.
That's a good question. seems you should get a brass plated Marriott bed or something similar…. I'm not too far away from that threshold, but my goal would be to fall short of it nonetheless. travel is tiring.
I'm with you, Shoe. If things continue as they have for the last few years, I'll go over 2000 nights sometime in 2018. Boy, I sure hope it takes longer than that!!
What if you spend half a night in one hotel then move to another the same night--is that a two night stay?
Will I be charged for half a room each?
That's a whole lot of nights!
I tip my hat to you Platinum2000! That gives a whole new meaning to the term "Road Warrior". My Account overview says I'm just north of 1,300 nights myself and I know how many trips THAT entailed.
I am interested to see what Merb finds, but I'm going to sit this race out.
I'm with you, I cannot imagine hitting the 2000 night plateau, despite the fact that it seems I am always on the road. Of course, if Merb reports that a pot of GOLD is awaiting those that that marker…………..
I guess we should email Mr. "M" himself (Bill Marriott Jr) and ask him if it means anything "special" for one of his loyal minions to spend 2000 nights in his Hotel group? As many of those nights have been international, I cannot imagine how many $$$'s that represents, but it does amount to 5 1/2 years.............. I've always said Marriott was my 2nd "home"!
