LET'S BE POSITIVE !!!
OTHER THAN THE ACCUMULATION AND USE OF POINTS,
WHAT IS YOUR
FAVORITE BENEFIT OF YOUR ELITE STATUS?
My favorite benefit is the effective momentum it provides in interacting with associates on a person to person level, thus leading to making the most out of my stays.
Other significant benefits to me; breakfast, high percentage of obtaining rooms with a desired view, Concierge Lounge sodas and waters and at full service - internet.
concierge lounge first then internet then room upgrade
Although the answers are completely subjective, your's is what I would say as well.
concierge lounge, upgrades and being recognized upon checking in...........Bill
Love your attitude, misterchk! Definitely need to spread positive vibes in this world. Thanks for starting this thread. I am excited to hear all of our Insiders' thoughts.
I don't know what is going on with this site but I think I will pass on it for a few days until it gets straightened out. I have tried posting numerous times to different discussions and it just doesn't want to take it. I key in "test" and it goes right out. What's up with that?????
Sorry to hear you are experiencing some difficulties. I have reached out to a specialist to see if they can assist in resolving this issue for you. Stay tuned!
I think we may have found the culprit. As best as we can currently tell, the issue arises if the browser’s url appears as “https” instead of "http". Try removing the “s” in the url and see if that works. Our team is also looking into fixing whatever is causing the funky url in the first place. We always appreciate your comments, thanks for the perseverance .
You just "Nailed" it for me!
You just "Won the Gold Medal"!
Thanks for putting it in a post so well!
I think being seen as loyal to Marriott (an often elusive thing) is number one for me, even if it does not result in any other benefit. Most times, there is a welcome, a recognition, and at times a special upgrade, or other perk, but keeping with the positive impact, I think the acknowledgement is the best thing.
Removing the s means that that site is not a secured one.
I agree with all of the above, even though Anadyr struggled to keep it positive…..
Wait what struggle? I was being nice.
dejamo <------------------------- is the culprit
If I had to pick just one, it would be the complimentary breakfast 7 days a week.
my ability to spend down my point balance before tin get diluted (again)
I think I do see a better level of treatment when I check in, i.e. "We appreciate your membership in Marriott Rewards," or some variation thereof. I also enjoy the MegaBonus promotions and the chance to earn more during certain periods.
My next trip will return me to Gold Elite status so I'm again looking forward those benefits (a year at Silver showed me it's more than just the 5% bump in points).
I like the room upgrades which I get most of the time. The best room upgrade I have gotten so far was by the Residence Inn Treasure Island / St. Petersburg, FL who upgraded me from a studio to a 1 bedroom suite with one of the best views in the hotel.
1. Room upgrades...Some of these have been amazing!!!! Love how cool some of the suites are at Marriott properties. Getting a better view can be nice, too...but I'll take space over view any day!
2. Concierge Lounge...Wish they were open every day of the week!!! So convenient for a quick breakfast, water/sodas, a place to hang-out if someone else wants to sleep in and evening snacks. Sometimes when I travel, I make lunch my main meal out and use the CL for morning and night meals.
3. Service...It's really nice when you pick up the phone in your room and they greet you by name, offering assistance for whatever you need.
4. Points!!! Love how fast they add up and can easily be used, especially at properties that would normally be beyond my budget...like city center hotels in Europe.
Nice idea, misterchk, to do a positive post...it's good to let Marriott know what they're doing right, too!
I have to say it would be the upgrade and the elite promotions.
Internet first, lounge second.
Concierge Lounge or breakfast would be my choice for the most useful benefit. Secondly, I also value the ability to use points for stays in expensive cities in both the United States and Europe. My wife would place the highest value on the internet benefit.
There's lots to love about the Marriott Rewards program, and opinions differ: http://www.rewards-insiders.marriott.com/polls/1191
This week, I'm feeling pretty good about having booked three (yup, count 'em three) rooms on points at a highly recommended Italian resort - Luxury Hotel in Tuscany: Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa: Home - for a week this summer with family and friends....
Yeah, that'll maintain my loyalty for a while.... Thank you, Marriott....
Now that sounds like a dream vacation!
