Jackie Robinson has always been someone that I was excited about since he is often mentioned during Black History Month. I know my grandparents watched baseball and even took us to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Until watching “42” on opening night with some friends, I had not realized just how difficult breaking through barriers was for him. His tale of bravery and courage was truly inspiring for me to figure out what things I love to do, do them with passion and excellence and to not let anyone or anything stand in my way. I think everyone should see this movie, particularly if they are attempting any groundbreaking endeavors.
