I remember taking my daughter to her first baseball game. She was 4 years old. She got all dressed up in a Cubs Jersey, hat and glove to root for our home team. After about the 6th inning, the crowd started thinning out so we sneaked down by the Cubs dugout. At the end of 7th inning, our first baseman Fred McGriff rolled the ball used to make the last out of the inning across the top of the dugout to my daughter. Boy was she excited. The next inning one of the coaches also rolled one to her. Without hesitation or prompting, she turned and handed it to the little boy sitting next to her who had not got a ball earlier. I was very proud of her..
