I played in a little league as a kid. Truth be told, I was never really into baseball, but in 3rd grade all of my friends thought it was the greatest sport on earth, so I tried to take it seriously. Perhaps the one thing I really enjoyed about the game was pitching. Unfortunately, I was a terrible pitcher. Nevertheless, at the end of every game and every practice, I asked my coach to let me try out for the position.
I never did become pitcher. Realistically, I doubt I got any better at pitching. Even so, my coach stuck it out with me and let me try, over and over. Good guy. I should figure out what he’s up to these days.
