A Test of Courage

Discussion created by rejexbob on Apr 10, 2013

I'm 59 years old, and I still remember the terror I felt in Little League facing a left-handed pitcher who threw a side-armed curve ball.  It seemed like every pitch was right at my head before it curved over the plate.  Not wanting to be hit, I spent most of the first at bat outside of the batter's box.  After a pep talk from my coach, I courageously stood in for the entire next at bat without ever ducking or backing out.  Unfortunately, I didn't hit the ball--my eyes were closed!
