My favorite memory of baseball without doubt would have to be watching Derek Lowe on April 27, 2002. We were part of a group from college that had booked tickets for a game that got rained out the previous year and so we picked up tickets to this game instead. It was amazing to be at the game as out after out got posted on the monster. I was with a group of international students who had no idea what they were witnessing as Fenway grew hushed. When we told them they were witnessing a part of history their chatter died down as they got right into the out-watch. Finally after the last out was recorded, the faithful embraced Lowe when he came back and spoke to the crowd, redemption after his horrible 2001.
