The drum

I was 5-years old the first time I heard John Adams beat the drum at Indians games.  There wasn't a lot to cheer about in those days at old Municipal Stadium, but as a young kid, there was nothing better than taking the (usually empty) wooden seat next to you and slamming it down to the beat of drum when the Indians needed a rally. The wooden seats are long gone, but John Adams remains - it takes me back to my childhood every time I head down to the corner of Carnegie and Ontario.
