I loved the spirit of competition in this town. My one son had gotten hit by a pitch and was scared to stay in the box. He would have this "surfer" move to get out of the box each time the ball was pitched. During this time, Dyer was a very competitive town concerning baseball but loved it because even though a child wasn't "all that", the coaches there made them feel like they were. I will always have wonderful memories of Dyer Little League!!
