When the Petaluma Nationals went to the Little League World Series in 2012, one of the reasons may have been because of a ritual the 13 12-year-old players had. The players would all rub Ted Belove's head. Ted is a 4-year old mascot of sorts for the team. His brother Max may be a future Nationals player since he was on the 11-year-old All-Stars team this year. Was this part of the reason for the amazing streak of wins the Nationals put together? Did somebody forget to rub his head before the US Title game they lost to Goodlettsville? I guess we'll never know.
