Family Time at the Diamond

Although I really don't care about baseball, I find myself attending a game every year anyway.  It's the perfect way to spend time with your family.  I get to sit outside on a beautiful evening and spend time with the people I care about even though most of the time everyone has really busy schedules.  For a few hours, no one is stressed, no one is busy, and we all just reconnect.  It starts with cheering for a common team and always builds into tons of smiles and laughter as the night goes on.  We can be kids again, eating too many hot dogs and ice cream cones, and singing along to silly chants and tunes all in the spirit of the game.  Afterwards, our local team often features fireworks as a great way to end the night.  You don't have to be a baseball fan to enjoy the game.
