When I was in middle school, the Florida Marlins won the World Series for the first time. However, shortly after the eventful game 7 where they took home the victory, the team management went ahead and began the process of dismantling the team. I recall that our English teacher had is draft letters to the general manager decrying the trades that were already going in effect within just a few short days after the victory. Although trading players seems so routine now, all of the hallabaloo about LeBron James in the basketball scene makes me remember how sad our class felt to think that the heroes we were all watching on TV were about to sent the ways of the four winds. Oh, well. Such is life.
