Perfection in baseball is 27 consecutive outs.  27 times batters get the chance to reach base and 27 times the pitcher and his team must execute flawlessly.  No bad bounces, no misreads, no fits of wildness, or else perfection is lost.  Perfection seems impossible, yet on June 13, 2012, it seemed inevitable.
