My dad had four daughters, and although he never had a son to share baseball with, each year, he took my sisters and me to Tigers baseball games with a special family pack to make it affordable. We'd arrive early to every game, so we could catch batting practice, and my dad made sure over time that he caught a ball for each one of us. As a child, I collected baseball cards with my dad, and I still have them to this day. Though my dad has now passed, he inspired me to be the baseball fan I am today. Now, each year I go down to spring training, and every summer I enjoy several games, cheering on the Detroit Tigers, knowing my dad would be proud that he created a true fan in his daughter.
