Courtyard Newark Granville (OH)

Discussion created by iestrikesback on Dec 11, 2012

Just completed a 4-night business stay at this East/Central Ohio property.  It has 3 floors, and has been completely renovated in the new CY style.  Check in was quick and friendly, but the Front Desk staff seemed a little "new" as they were unsure how to enter a companion's MR number into the system.  Also, they were unsure of how to enter our government "tax-exempt" forms (but, this was taken care of eventually).  I had a a typical CY King Bed room (with a fridge) which was comfortable.  The property is adjacent to a couple chain restaurants, McDonald's (good option for breakfast) and Texas Roadhouse.  Across the street was City BBQ, but we were underwhelmed.

But, I highly recommend driving to nearby Granville (5 miles away) to their inviting downtown area (done up nicely for the holidays, including lighted trees, etc.) for dinner and shopping.  We had dinner at 2 pubs, Brews and Broadway, both on the main street, and very good!
