Looking for tips on Curacao. The family (Mom, Dad, 18 year boy, and 16 year girl) is staying at the Renaissance Curacao for a week over New Year's. Any feedback and suggestions welcome. Beaches, restaurants, activities ...... thanks.
Sounds like it'll be an amazing trip! Anyone have suggestions in Curacao?
My favorite things in Curacao are:
1) the local food market where you can try all the local foods for very little money.
2) the curacao factory
3) shopping along the waterfront and backstreets
4) floating bridge
5) the old synagogue
6) the museum
If at all possible I would split your time between the Ren and the Marriott. The Ren is downtown with no beach and the downtown activites will be exhausted within 2 days. The Marriott has some of the best shore snorkelling on the island right off their beach and is SO much more relaxing. Renting a car is a must. Both the Ren and the Marriott have free self parking for guests and criving aroudn the island is a must. Visit Sol Food in WestPunt for lunch (only open F, S and S) and Shete Boca National Park on your way there.
