Another not to miss attraction in Budapest is the Great Synagogue.
The Great Synagogue is the largest Jewish house of worship in Europe. The Moorish-style Great Synagogue is one of Budapest's most eye-catching buildings. Built in 1859 for 3000 Neolog (strict conservative) faithful, the copper-domed structure is nest to the Hungarian Jewish Museum and the haunting Holocaust Memerial Room. In the courtyard stands the Holocaust Memorial, a "tree of life" designed by Imre Varga whose leaves bear the family names of some of the victims.
