We recently spent 3 nights at the Grand Chateau, a category 6 Vacation Club property in Las Vegas.  Our stay was perfect.  We had a 1-bedroom villa on the 35th floor which faced the Strip.  The desk agent made sure we were made aware of all the amenities and activities offered by the hotel.  Our villa was wonderful.  We enjoyed having so much space.   It was nice having Direct TV available. The bathroom was huge.  We enjoyed being able to prepare simple meals (no cooking allowed on vacation).  The hotel provides a shuttle to Albertson's several days a week.  We missed those days, so we bought a few things at Walgreen's which is about a block away.  The Market Place in the hotel is convenient; however, it is very expensive.  It was nice having a washer and dryer in the villa.  The pool area is on the roof and is rather small.  The view from the roof is impressive.  We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it cost $12.60+tip.  It took about 10 minutes.  On the return trip, we were going to the car rental center rather than the airport and it cost $23!  I know the driver forgot we were not going directly to the airport and took a loop through the airport.  We were able to walk to all our destinations because the hotel is so convenient to the Strip without all the hustle and bustle.  We went to the Wicked Spoon for breakfast one morning and enjoyed it very much.  We highly recommend the Grand Chateau.
