Week exchange into Rewards versus Category increase does not equal.

We own 2 weeks at the Boston Custom House Marriott. When exchanging these into Reward Points, each amounts to 110,000 and

125,000 respectively, and that's been the exchange value for the past 10 years.

 

We recently noticed that the Custom House Marriott has been raised to Category 7, meaning that each night is worth 30,000 reward

points (or 30,000 per night w/ the PointSavers.)   Do the math: 35,000 x 7= 245,000 points or 30,000 x 7= 210,000 w/Point Savers.

However, we only get a max of 125,000 per week when exchanging.

 

Question:  If Marriott has been increasing hotel categories, Why aren't we, owners, getting MORE for our week exchanges? Why

aren't we getting exactly the same equivalent in Reward Points that the Hotel charges?  We invested more than $40,000 in these

2 weeks more than 10 years ago, shouldn't we be getting a yearly increase in those exchange reward points per week?

 

Thoughts on this would be appreciated.
