Sorry foxglove, I love Matty Ice just think Aaron will end of on top of a fantastic high scoring shootout. And while I do like Brady, I'm tired of him whining about being hit.....Clowney should have drilled him.
It should be exciting -- I think turnovers and protecting the ball will decide it. Rise up!
As a 15 year Atlanta resident, I am hopeful that you are (at long last) completely wrong iahflyr With the flu running through the GB locker room, I think we may finally have found a way to win...cough, cough, sniffle, wheeze!!!
nationwide I'm surprised, you of all people wishing "ill" on someone!
Papa Bear Halas used to say he was always just looking for his "fair advantage" (and that would include opponents' viral infections).
iahflyr, I'm not wishing I'll on anyone. Vegas has moved the line 2 points in Atlanta's favor because of injuries and illness in the Greenbay locker room. Those guys tend to know what they are talking about.
I know you aren't....you'd be the last person to do that right after me.
Hoping for a Steelers win!
I just voted and the Packers are down 37-15. How about a miracle????? I'm looking for the two road teams today.
Yeah, Baby!!! On to Houston!
What a way to close the Dome, huh?!!! Awesome!!! Bring my ol' hometown team Falcons to play in my new hometown Houston- it doesn't get much better! One to go!
Lookin' forward to finding out who else will be there. I think the discussions about whether Matt Ryan's "elite" or not should be put to rest. Truth is -- the defense has grown up during the season. It's a bright future in the ATL.
NO doubt about it on both counts! Matt looks great and this youthful defense is growing up right in front of our eyes! Great team!
iahflyr and nationwide Even if you don't go to the game, you would probably have fun just being in the downtown Houston area for the Fan Fest, etc. When the game was in New Orleans in 2013, we spent a couple of days there and had a wonderful time.
Wow, I actually called it correctly. Given who's in, I think I have to root for the Falcons in a couple weeks, despite the fact that they eliminated my team in the previous round.
Um, so your team isn't the Browns?!
In any case, welcome to the bandwagon!
As a one time resident of the Seattle area, I'm still with the Seahawks. Being more of a baseball fan, I don't really pay much attention to football. Spring training is not too far away now. Go Mariners.
I wish your team the best of luck, foxglove. If for no other reason, it's nice to see a team that has never won a Super Bowl win in all.
Falcons fans owe the Browns a "thank you" for Alex Mack, who was the best Falcons free agency pick-up in years, and Taylor Gabriel, who the Browns released in the preseason. Kyle Shanahan, another Cleveland alum,
grabbed him off the waiver wire, and he's been nothing short of phenomenal this season.
Congrats to the Falcons as well as foxglove and nationwide. I sure picked this wrong all the way around and sure didn't see blowouts on both games, WOW.
For me my heart is now in Georgia!
razorbackfan when the Super Bowl 38 was here in 2004, we went to some of the events downtown, what a crazy scene and this time I'd expect even more of a crazed time. Pretty sure I'll view it from TV on the evening news rather than drive into that mess.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting a beat down either. I think Rodgers may have been caught a bit off guard regarding the improvement of the Falcons' D since week 8. After the game, Julio said that 4 years ago the Falcons were just happy to be in the NFC championship -- a game they lost late to the 49ers. Dan Quinn has this team believing they can play with anyone, and they've shown it during the current win streak, with convincing wins over Cam, Brees, Wilson and the Seahawks, and now the Pack and Rodgers.
I saw an interesting stat this AM: Last night's win makes the NFC South the only division in which all four teams have been in the Superbowl since realignment in 2002.
