Hi Everyone - After returning well rested from a nine-day vacation at the beautiful Vinoy Renaissance Hotel in St. Petersburg, I decided that it was time to ask this question that I has always nagged at me (and created some unfortunate disagreements with my darling Brenda).
What is your normal tipping practice when using the hotel valet parking during a stay? Not only is the parking itself usually expensive at top-line Marriott and Renaissance hotels, the tipping of the men and women who take the car and deliver the car can get expensive as well. I recall a friend telling me that you only tip when getting the car, but I don't know if that's just his personal opinion, or something of a standard. So, my fellow Insiders, where do you stand on this?
