How will you vote in the 2013 Freddie Awards?
Since this should reflect how well Marriott did in 2012, they will still get my vote. Perhaps what really happens in 2013 will put a damper on my feelings....
Unfortunately, this devaluation of points by Marriott and the arrogance of Marriott in 2012 to their elite members is so detrimental to their most loyal guests, that in good conscience I could not vote for them regardless of whether this was done in 2012 or 2013!!!
I'm with nanaglo45 on this.
I am really "Concerned" over all of the direction that Marriott may be "Headed in". I am not here to tell someone "How to run their company" but to enjoy and share my travel experiences. But, I think back in the "Old days" of all the business I did with Hyatt, and HI, and left them for Marriott 30 years ago! Really hope I am not "Shopping again"!
I do not vote on Freddie as IMO, it is nothing more than a popularity contest. I further refuse to vote Marriott as I do not feel they should be soliciting votes by sending me e-mails to "Vote For Marriott - Freddie Awards." It's almost like the Oscars where actors and films are advertised in the entertainment trade magazines hoping to raise awareness to win a gold statue. My favorite way to "vote" is with my wallet and as of the end of January, I "voted eight months of hotels to Hilton" when I cancelled my Marriott reservations when CYs took away the lobby coffee.
