Hotel Review: Courtyard Edison Woodbridge NJ

Last weekend eclektech and I traveled to Edison, NJ for a Heroes & Villian’s Fan Event.   Initially we had made a reservation at the Sheraton Edison which was the closest hotel to the convention center.   Then after reading horrible reviews on three different websites including Marriott.Com for the Sheraton property we decided to change our reservation to the nearby Courtyard Edison Woodbridge Hotel.

This Courtyard is in a nice quiet location and is easy to get to from both I-95 & I-287.  The hotel has been recently remodeled, and all rooms have been updated.  Each staff member we encountered was both friendly and outgoing.  When staying at this property I would recommend having access to a car as there is really nothing in walking distance of the hotel. During this trip I had rented an Audi from Silver Car at their Newark location which was extra nice since they gave me a brand new A4 Audi with only 12 miles on it.

Check In went smoothly and we were given a room on the 4th Floor right next to the elevator.  Initially I was concerned about elevator noise, but it was never a problem for us.  We did hear some elevator noise when in the bathroom but never heard any in the bedroom area.  The beds were comfortable and both eclektech and I slept well.

For convenience we had breakfast in the Bistro each morning.  The food was good but also a little expensive.  The Platinum $10 F&B credit per person only covered about half of the expense.  We found there were lots of places to dine in the Woodbridge area which was about a 10-minute drive from the hotel.  There is also a Wegman's grocery store in the same area.
