Classic if not classy - Review of the Sheraton Grand Seattle

Blog Post created by some1clever on Jan 19, 2020

I'm sitting here at the airport reflecting on what was more or less an unremarkable stay. That said, here are my remarks:

Overall, I'd say it is worth considering, but it won't blow you away by any stretch of the imagination. The hotel lobby is basically a huge Starbucks. Come to think of it, I think the room next to ours on the 27th floor was a Starbucks, too.  Starbucks as far as the eye can see and the nose can smell!  ; ) Welcome to Seattle!

Affordable redemption rate.

Convenient location for downtown, Pike Place Market, and the airport.

Quick check-in at the Elite desk was efficient, and the woman who helped me was friendly.

The two-story fitness center on the top floor is awesome. Great Life Fitness equipment and a fun view. The indoor pool is up there, too!

The Club is cheerful and near the top floor of the hotel with a decent view.  Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning wasn't crowded at all despite there being a convention or conference or something going on. The usual fare - no complaints. And Starbucks of course.

Parking is expensive. $57 on-site valet or I paid $35/night at the Washington Athletic Club across the street.  Ouch. Should have taken the Link from the airport and gotten around with Lyft.

Noise. This doesn't bother me a ton, but I could hear inside voices through the walls on either side.  Noisy bar/lounge would be a Pro for some, I'm sure.
