Strangest Marriott - Rome Marriott Park Hotel

Blog Post created by seatexan on Nov 18, 2019

I spent a few nights in Rome this past year.  I decided to stay my last night at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel, as I had an early flight out of Fiumicino the next morning.

I got there around 4pm.  This hotel was so dead and quite, eerie...  However, the greetings were very warm and welcoming.

They upgraded me to a MASSIVE suite.  It was so big and dark it felt empty.  The over hang of the balcony didn't help the lighting.  It was incredibly outdated and I was really uncomfortable in it.  I can still smell the room typing this...*shudder*

2 bathrooms, 2 massive closets, a very large living room, enormous empty balcony, a large bedroom.

I took a shower in the smaller bathroom....the other one gave me the creeps.

In the bar/restaurant.  Google does a better job...Google Maps

I can't say I look back fondly on this hotel.  The service was great, the lounge was big, I got an upgrade, but something didn't sit right with me.  I think because it was so massive and there were no people...great low season rate, maybe 80 something euros.

Lounge Review to come...
