I intentionallly payed two months of Visa charges in advance, a very large sum, in order to cover much of my trip to Seattle for 10 days later. Although the money was deducted from my bank account over a week ago, the points are not available yet. My payment was made a few days before my last billing cycle. I called the Marriott “elite” line and stayed on hold for 45 minutes before I hung up. The Marriott where I am staying cannot give me any answers and I’m officially without a hotel tomorrow night. Hello, AirBNB, goodbye Marriott. I’m questioning the value of the Marriott credit card.
