Review of the Fabulous Ritz Carlton Budapest

Blog Post created by rle on Jan 9, 2018

We took my mother on a river cruise of the Danube to see the Christmas Markets just before Christmas 2017, which ended in Budapest, Hungary.  We decided to stay a couple extra nights before flying to London and then home and we were so happy that we did.  The city itself is beautiful but I honestly could not have imagined a better place to stay whilst in Budapest (or anywhere, really) than the Ritz Carlton Budapest.  The hotel is beautiful inside and out.  The staff is so very helpful, friendly and attentive.  The doorman even walked us to the nearest electric train stop when giving us directions to the Gellert Spa and showed us which train to take and how to get back to the hotel later.  Needless to say, we were well taken care of; in fact, I cannot recall when I have ever been treated so well anywhere.  The rooms were spacious, luxurious and comfortable - everything you would expect from a Ritz Carlton.  We had a lovely view of St. Stephen's Basilica and the city's Ferris wheel.  The hotel is very conveniently located to several shops, restaurants, cafes, Starbucks, the subway and trains and is a very short walk to the beautiful St. Stephen's Basilica.     I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when next in Budapest (and we will definitely return).
