Interesting to read about all the changes to categories that Marriott is making. We were early buyers when Marriott
entered the timeshare industry....we could occupy trade or redeem our weeks for points---we didn't get them from hotel stays or credit card puchases. The value/cost of 100,000 points has declined significantly... Marriott does not consider the source of points...but I guess that's typical as we've seen timeshares...points....& timeshare values
drastically decline and basically almost worthless on the resale market. Yet, they are still able to sell new weeks
at high prices...it's amazing what a good salesperson can talk uninformed buyers to purchase!
